Online Ad Specs and Information
O'Reilly uses DoubleClick's DART for Publishers as our ad-serving and management system and can accept ads in a variety of different formats. DART for Advertisers (DFA) clients are encouraged to use Internal Redirect tags whenever possible to expedite campaign implementation.
O'Reilly accepts the following ad types/formats, including most of the Rich Media types supported by DART:
- .GIF (static or animated)
- .JPG
- Flash*
- HTML and DHTML
- HTML with JavaScript
- Java (redirected to the server hosting the applet)
- Text ads (e.g., Dynamic Text Links)
- User-initiated streaming audio and video
- Apple QuickTime**
- RealPlayer, RealAudio, Real Video **
- Windows Media Player**
Note: O'Reilly is not accepting interstitial ads at this time.
O'Reilly also accepts creative from several DART-certified, third-party rich media vendors, including:
- Eyeblaster
- Bluestreak
- Point Roll
- Unicast Enliven, etc.

Regardless of size or file format, all ad units must conform to the
following specs:
Maximum file size: 30K***
Looping: 3X animation loop maximum
